Brief introduction to joseph stalin
Joseph Stalin was born into a modest peasant family on December 18th, 1879. During his childhood, he was often being bullied and looked down due to his scarred face and deformed arm caused by smallpox. Therefore Stalin created a strong demand for respect and superiority at a small age, also progressing a vein of cruelness for those who crossed against him. Coming from a family with difficult circumstances, Stalin once raised money by robbery, blackmail and even kidnapping. In 1899, Stalin left school and became an activist, spending time on revolutionary movements. He was involved in the central communist party which soon he ranked up to the general secretary.
Relationship in the animal farm
Undoubtedly, Napoleon was perfectly modeled as Joseph Stalin in the novel. As a "leader" of the animal farm, Napoleon changed from a loyal, true comrade of animalism to a ruthless dictator who hungrily seek for immense power and personal advantages. Same did Stalin modify the game rules in the early 20th century, his determination and spirit for communism were all devoured by greed and authority. Although the Soviet Union's economy and industries blossomed under his rule, all Russians were living in fear and terror. In comparison with Napoleon in the Animal Farm, snapshots of bloody executions, animals confessing to false sins, work on Sundays and reduced food rations.... this wasn't what life was imagined back in the days humming "Beast of England" with Old Major ; for the Russians this wasn't what life was expected when Vladimir Lenin led the Bolshevik to take over from the Czarist.

Stalin also launched a propaganda attack to Trotsky, Trotsky was later expelled and murdered on Stalin's order.
2. Claimed the nation's industry and economy is 50 - 100 years behind other western countries, thus created a plan that would surpass other countries in 5 years. Ambitious but unrealistic.

Napoleon
1. Napoleon was less educated than Snowball, so he decided to use his dogs to run out Snowball. Napoleon then became the only and apparent leader in Animal Farm.
2. Napoleon made a 3 year plan to build the windmill knowing there wasn't enough knowledge, experience and labour force. Therefore he decided all animals shall work 20 hours a week, including Sundays. No animals were allowed to retire.
3. Used his dogs as bodyguards, created a threat to animals who did not follow Napoleon's orders.
4. Made Boxer and other animals work until they ran out of strength. Napoleon sent Boxer to death instead of healing his injuries.
5. Woke up later then other animals, stayed in the farmhouse all day drinking and gambling while all others worked hard building the windmill.
6. Executed and murdered animals who disobeyed Napoleon. E.g., executed the chickens in a show trial because they refused to give out their eggs for sale.
